Setup Guide
Everything you need to get your licensed bot running, from invite to first trade.
1 Invite the bot to your server
Use the invite link we emailed you after signup (also available any time from your My Account page). This is a standard Discord bot invite โ pick your server, review the permissions, click Authorize.
๐ก You'll need Manage Server permission on the Discord server you're adding it to.
2 Run /setup
Once the bot's in your server, run the /setup command. This automatically creates every channel, role, and permission the bot needs โ you don't need to build anything by hand.
Partway through, it'll ask you a few questions:
- Server currency name โ what you want to call your points (e.g. "Coins", "DXP", anything you like)
- Marketplace fee % โ what cut you want to take on trades in your own server
- Your payout wallet address โ where your own earned fees get sent (covered in the next step)
3 How your funds work โ the important part
Deposits and withdrawals across every DealR Network server run through DealR's own secured wallets โ not your own. This is different from a typical self-hosted bot: you don't need to create a wallet, manage a private key, or worry about crypto infrastructure at all. Your community deposits and withdraws exactly like they would on any server running DealR, and it's handled centrally, safely, and consistently.
You only need to provide one thing: a payout wallet address โ this is where your own earned fees get sent. This is a normal receiving address (like from Exodus, Coinbase, or any wallet you're comfortable with) โ no private key needed from you for this one, since it's just a destination for payments going to you.
๐ก Why this is different from most bots: your community gets bank-grade security and 24/7 monitoring from day one, fully built in โ no wallets to set up, no security infrastructure to maintain, just a system that's ready to go.
4 Reserve health & your daily payouts
Every server has its own tracked reserve health โ a live measure of whether enough real crypto is held to cover everything your members are owed. This protects your community first, always.
- Above your server's minimum threshold โ your earned fees pay out automatically to your payout wallet, daily
- Below threshold โ payouts scale down proportionally rather than stopping all at once, and you'll get a warning with clear next steps
- Your dashboard always shows your current reserve health live โ no surprises
5 If you ever close your server
We built a clear, fair process for this โ both for your members' protection and your own:
- Contact an authorized DealR admin to begin the shutdown process
- Every member with a balance gets a direct DM with a 30-day window to submit a withdrawal address and claim what's theirs
- Once the window closes, you receive whatever remains after every claim has been paid โ you're intentionally paid last, so there's never a reason to rush or skip properly notifying your members
- Unclaimed balances after 30 days stay in reserve โ never paid out to anyone, including you
6 License key โ already handled
You don't need to manually enter your license key anywhere โ it's automatically included with the invite link from your account page. Your bot checks in with our license server on startup to confirm your plan and enable the right features. Nothing for you to copy-paste here.
7 Do a test trade before going live
Before announcing the bot to your community, we strongly recommend testing the full loop yourself:
- Deposit a small amount (even $5) using the bot's deposit panel
- List a test item, then buy it from a second account
- Confirm delivery and check the payout lands correctly
- Withdraw a small amount back out, and confirm it arrives correctly
This confirms your fees and setup are all working correctly โ much better to catch an issue now than after your community's using it for real.
